Emirates host Al Wasl; leaders Al Jazira under test and Al Nasr face Al Ahli

 

The Etisalat Pro League fifth round will restart next Friday and Saturday as three games will be played per day. All Teams have completed their preparations after having back their international players who were on national duty. 

Emirates are to host Al Wasl on Friday at their home ground in Ras Al Khaimah at 4:40pm in an important match for both teams. The hosts are classified second from bottom with only three points and they hope to restore their winning tone which they missed in the last three matches. Their injured players Al Hassan Keita, Mohsin Metwally and Pejman Nouri are expected to return more powerful.. Al Wasl who are taking second place with seven points, are hoping to return to Dubai with three points, despite the absence of their football legend Maradona since last Sunday, as he left to Argentina because of the death of his mother. His assistant Enrique is currently leading the team's trainings.  The four professional players Donda, Oliveira, Edson Puch and Porta will lead Al Wasl in tomorrow’s match.

Leaders Al Jazira, will play the second match of the day when they travel to Ajman to play at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium against Ajman Team who are at the 9th spot with three points from three draws, kick off at 4:45pm. Ajman will have back their playmaker Kareem Karkar who was absent in the past days due to an injury. Al Jazira, defending champions, who are on top of the table with 10 points, will work hard to keep their unbeaten record.

The matches of the 5th round first day will be concluded when Al Nasr take on Al Ahli in Dubai derby. It was the third match for the two teams in less than two weeks time as they met twice before in Etisalat Cup where they exchanged victory. Al Nasr are in 8th position with 4 points and Al Ahli are staying in 10th spot with only three points and they have one postponed game at hand against Al Ain due to be held mid December. The game will be the first for Al Ahi Spanish debutant coach Flores Quique who replaced Evan Hasek from Czech.
