The Etisalat Pro League Championship clash restarts on Friday

The 18th round matches of the Etisalat Pro League Championship of the current season, are due to restart on Friday, April 13, and be concluded the following day after a two- week break because of the President's Cup two semi-final matches played last week. It is expected that this round might disclose some important secrets, both at the summit and bottom levels.

Bani Yas, who are staying in 9th position with 19 points, will face fourth - placed Al Nasr with 32 points in the first day at Al Shamkha Stadium; kick off at 6:00pm while Al Ahli in 8th spot with 19 points, will host their counterparts Dubai who are classified second from bottom after collecting only 11 points, at 5:55pm. Dubai have the desire to collect the three points, but Al Ahli won't be as easy contenders as they are playing at their home ground and in front of their spectators.

Al Jazira and Al Shabab, who are taking third and second places respectively, will play the last game of the first day at Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 8:30pm. The visitors, Al Shabab with 33 points, demonstrated a balanced display in the league matches and the hosts, who have 32 points, also came up with a brilliant performance in the Asian Champions League. A draw between Al Jazira and Al Shabab will help leaders Al Ain and give them a chance to widen the difference of points.

On the second day of round 18, the Emirates team will host their counterpart Ajman in Ras Al Khaimah at 05:50 pm, in a match that gives hopes for the two teams as the former, who have 14 points in 10th position, hopes to avoid relegation, and a loss of all game points will make them face the same danger. Ajman, who have 24 points that put them in 5th spot, are seeking through their positive results and teamwork style to catch up with the top teams.

In the second game of the day, Sharjah who are sitting at the bottom of the table with 10 points will host their counterpart Al Wahda who are taking 7th position with 21 points. Sacking Romanian coach Tita and signing Abdul Majeed Al Nimir to replace him, could be a reason to boost the players' morals and improve their level of performance as what we have seen in their match against Al Jazira in the President's Cup semifinal irrespective of the 4 goal scored by Al Jazira.

In the "Match Of The Week", Al Wasl will play at home against leaders Al Ain with 42 points. A win for Al Ain will help them to retain the difference of points and move closer to snatch the trophy. But a loss for the hosts who have 24 points, will threaten their sixth position.
