Etisalat Pro League (Round 13) Match Preview Part.2
The Etisalat Pro League competition continues on Thursday 9 February 2012 with Ajman hosting Al Nasr at 5:25 pm, Al Jazira meet Sharjah at home in Mohammad bin Zayed stadium at 5:30 pm, while the Round 13 finale sees Bani Yas visiting Al Wasl in Zabeel at 8:00 pm.
Al Jazira vs. Sharjah
The 2011 league champions keeping the third place in the league table with 23 points are looking to compensate their last 2-1 league-defeat before Al Ahli. Al Jazira keeping their professionals Oliveira, Delgado, Bare and Lucas Neil were one of the few who didn’t make crucial transfers during the winter’s window. It was only the mutual on loan transfer transaction with Al Nasr that saw Ali Abbas joining the Abu Dhabi squad and Ali Al Ameri moving to Dubai. Al Jazira will set the competition on fire in case of a win otherwise the defensive champions will be giving space to other competitors to jump in. Sharjah on the other hand with 9 points and 10th on the standings have made a lot of significant changes in the last few weeks starting with the return of the Romanian head coach Tita to lead the first team after the not so lucky two month period with Vierra and the team’s new window transfer contracts with the Brazilian Vanderson, the Uzbek Timur Kapadze and the Korean Lee Song Ho who made their debut in the Round 8 Etisalat Cup encounter against Ajman and settled with a draw. Sharjah seem to be doing their best to survive the ghost of relegation and they have to fight hard for it.
Ajman vs. Al Nasr
The 2-0 league-win against the league leaders Al Ain in Round 12 encounter that saw the boss first league-defeat put Al Nasr second in the table with 23 points, and gave them confidence to compete over the title, to win this game is to set the competition on fire not to forget the biggest winter transfer Al Nasr had contracting with the Italian Luca Toni. Ajman coming 8th with 15 points are doing a good performance, despite some disappointments the orange proved to have a remarkable team spirit that could help them do well. Ajman has also made some changes during the transfer window seeing Boris Kabi in the orange squad coming from Al Kuwait FC while Ibrahima Toure moved to AS Monaco.
Al Wasl vs. Bani Yas
Al Wasl hold the 6th position with 18 points in the pro league table, playing home after a rewarding last minute 2-1 cup-win over the Abu Dhabi rivals Al Wahda last week inspires the Zabeel team to be at their best and strive to stay in the competition. Bani Yas coming 9th with 13 points are trying to show a better performance in the second part of the competition, signing with the Spanish forward Francisco Yeste and the French with Algerian roots midfielder Ismael Bouzid during the transfer window have showed that the Abu Dhabi team is consistently walking in the right path.
