Al Shaab and Al Dhafra beat Emirates and Sharjah in the quartet tournament

 

Al Shaab came from behind to maintain a valuable victory over their counterparts Emirates team beating them 2/1 in the first match of the quartet tournament qualifying to the Etisalat Pro League 210/2013 in the match held this evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium in Ajman Club to collect their first three points in this event.

The losers played 74 minutes with ten players after their defender Hayder Alo Ali was shown the red card only 16 minutes from the word go due to a rough play against Rodrego who was set free with only goalkeeper Mutaz Abdullah to beat. Al Shaab benefited much from this sent off to score two goals when they were one goal down before the break. Emirates were the first to score through Argentine Herrera who put them into the lead in the 21st minute off Diyara’s perfect pass to end the first session with a 1/0 result. 

Al Shaab levelled the score only two minutes after the breather through  Michel Larnait and Rodrego added the winner in the 58th minute capitalizing on a across ball switched by his teammate Careca to end the game with a 2/1 win making  a successful step towards the  Etisalat Professional League.

In the second match of the day played at Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Ain Club, Al  Dhafra outclassed Sharjah with a solitary goal netted by Amara Diane in the 66th minute with a lovely header that went into the right hand corner of the losers’ goalie.
