Four matches in Etisalat Cup second round

The Etisalat Cup second round matches of this season will commence on Tuesday and Wednesday October 9 and 10 with four matches from the first group to be played in the first day. Debutant Al Ain will take on hosts Dubai who are playing their second game after beating Al Shaab 2-0 in the first round encounter, kick off at 5:10pm. The visiting team, Al Ain, will miss the efforts of some of their key players including Mohammed Ahmed, Dawood Sulaiman, Mohanad Al Anzy and Omer Abdulrahman.

In the second game of the day, Bani Yas are to face Al Jazira on their pitch in Al Shamkha at 8:00pm. The home team have 3 points following their 2-1 victory over Al Dhafra and will play without both Mohammed Fawzi and Amer Abdulrahman who are in National duty and their rivals, who are playing their first match in this competition, will also miss goalkeeper Ali Khaseif, Khalid Essa, Ali Ameri, Abdullah Mousa, Khamis Ismail and Ali Mabkhout for the same reason.

In the second day Al Wahda will meet Al Shaab at their home ground in Abu Dhabi at 5:10pm. The hosts have collected 3 points after defeating Al Nasr with three straight goals in the first round match and they will play without Hamdan Al Kamali, Saeed Al Katheri and Ismail Mattar who are currently joining the UAE National Senior Football Team. Al Shaab lost to Dubai 2-0 in their opening match.

The second round games will be concluded when Al Wasl face Al Dhafra at home at Zabeel Stadium, kick off at 8:00pm. Al Wasl snatched full points with a 4-2 win over Ittihad Kalba in the previous round while Al Dhafra lost to Bani Yas 1-2. The visitors will play with their full line up whereas the hosts are missing the UAE National Team player Rashid Essa.
