Al Jazira keep targeting the league summit

The 2011 league champions gained their confidence back after few hapless encounters and scored another remarkable 4-2 victory against their counterparts Dubai in the match that took place this afternoon at Dubai Club Stadium in Al Awir within the first-half season finals of the Etisalat Pro League competition.


The fast paced first half of the match saw Al Jazira’s first goal in the 11th minute netted by Abdulla Mousa through a corner sent from his team mate Oliveira who himself netted the defensive champions’ second goal in the 32nd minute to end the first half with a 2-0 victory to the Abu Dhabi visitors.


Two minutes after the beginning of the second half, a remarkable team work gifted Al Jazira their third goal netted by Oliveira through a shot sent from Ali Mabkhout and Delgado in the 47th minute. In the 58th minute Mohamed Ibrahim succeeded to score their first goal in the left corner of Khalid Essa and 7 minutes later the league champions score their rewarding 4th goal by Juma Abdulla in the 65th minute. The match final score was dedicated to the hosting team who scored their second goal through Ali Hassan in the 87th minute to end the encounter with a 4-2 victory to Al Jazira.


With 23 points the defensive champions end the first-half season keeping their second place on the Etisalat Pro League table, while Dubai stay at the second bottom of the table with 6 points.
