Bani Yas.. A rewarding victory

Bani Yas earned a rewarding 3 points and scored a remarkable 2-1 victory over their counterparts Dubai in the match that took place this afternoon at Dubai Club Stadium in Al Awir within Round 9 of Etisalat Pro League competition.


Both teams relatively played at an equal performance throughout the first half of the game; slightly Bani Yas reined the pitch a bit more and created more chances, yet the first half did not witness any scores from both sides and ended with a zero draw.


By the beginning of the second half, Dubai’s dream to escape the bottom of the table was close to reality when Hassan Abdelrahman netted through a free kick in the 51st minute and gifted his team an awaited score, but the draw netted through a penalty by Yousef Jaber in the 67th minute made it critical to the home players, and just a few minutes later Senghor gifted his team a precious 3 points in the 71st minute and only then all hope disappeared for Dubai.


With 10 points Bani Yas end 2011 in the 8th position on the league standings, while Dubai share Emirates the bottom of the league table with only 3 points.
