Dubai v Al Dhafra Pre-Match Press Conferences
Dubai head coach Rene Marsiglia says opponents Al Dhafra are a completely different side now compared to what they were at the start of the season, having recently improved their performances and results. Dubai, by contrast, had a strong start in the Etisalat Pro League and have trailed off of late, but Marsiglia says his troops are buoyed by their positive result in the last match. “We have restored our confidence since beating Dibba Al Fujairah in the last match, and the players are very upbeat after the result, so expect to see a match full of enthusiasm on Monday night,” the Frenchman said at his pre-match press conference. Dubai’s only injury doubt for the game is Brazilian striker Careca, who has returned to training but may not yet be fully fit to participate.
Laurent Banide, the head coach of Al Dhafra, predicts that Dubai will be tough opposition to beat due to their high spirits coming into the game off the back of a much-needed win after a bad run of results. The Frenchman confirmed that his side will be at full strength for the Round 21 match, with no injuries or suspensions to report, and Banide also hinted that he is in talks with the Board of Directors about renewing his contract with Al Dhafra, although his current focus is only on getting results in the coming games.
