Al Ain keep moving with a 2-0 victory over Dubai

Al Ain scored a rewarding 2-0 victory and snatched invaluable three points off their hosts Dubai in the encounter that took place in Al Awir stadium at 5:25 pm this evening within Round 14 of the Etisalat Pro League competition.

With full dominance over the pitch, the boss did not give their host a chance to create any scoring opportunities till the very last minute of the first session. The corner performed by Radoi in the 20th minute went right through to Yasser who with a soft header passed it over to Scocco who in return turned it with another header into a very precious first goal.

Inspired by the achievement Gyan was close to add the second goal a minute later in front of an empty net but it hit the right post. The purples did not stop creating chances and again the highly welcomed back Guinea Striker sent a strong shot bounced by the goalkeeper Jamal Abdullah, Scocco tried to save it but with a strong shot the ball passed the cross bar to end the first half with a solitary score to the visitors.

The second half of the game was as tough as the first, the mission to level the balance for Al Awir lions became harder after the second goal scored through Gyan in the 62nd minute, losing Yousif Al Hamadi for a red card in the 78th took all the hosting team hope away and only then everyone was waiting to hear the final whistle.

With 33 points Al Ain stay on the lead on the pro league standings, while the unfortunate Dubai keep the bottom table with 7 points.
