Dubai Sport Council Cultural program on professionalism
The Dubai Sport Council will organize a two-day workshop on Saturday and Sunday March 3 and 4 in Dubai Municipality in Zabeel Hall on: "The physical preparation for the athletes". The workshop will be organized under the supervision of the expert Dr. Karam Al Shimari, Head of Laboratory Researches in Sport Performance in the Sports Medical Center in Tunisia. This comes within the second stage of "Dubai Sport Council Annual Cultural Program on professionalism" which will include a number of academic and training courses in addition to specialized lectures directed towards the players, coaches and administrators of the clubs in order to spread the culture of professionalism in the clubs and sport institutions, enhance professional performance and develop the efficiency of administrative and technical cadres.
The workshop will be held from 10 am to 1 pm concentrating on the theoretical side, then from 2 pm to 4 pm to practical applications.
The second stage which started from last January included practical lectures on a doping control, and on "the concept of professionalism", in addition to organizing a course to get the ICDL certificate in order to develop the players' academic abilities. More workshops were also organized on the contracts of the players along with lectures about the local and international sports organizations interested in football.
