Dibba Al Fujairah v Al Shaab Pre-Match Press Conferences
Dibba Al Fujairah head coach Dr. Abdullah Misfer says his side's preparations for the Friday evening clash against Al Shaab are in full swing, following a recent 3-2 win over Al Dhafra, and he insists that despite injury problems suffered within the squad, they have a positive approach to their upcoming games. "Though we have injury problems, we must stay positive and seek out the win. We have to keep a mindset that we must take three points from every home game we play."
Misfer refused to describe the Round 16 clash as a 'grudge match' despite Dibba Al Fujairah's 5-3 loss to Al Shaab earlier in the season, stating that the word 'revenge' has no place in the football dictionary. "We have to focus our minds on getting the three points from this game and not think back to what has gone before."
Meanwhile, opposing coach Marius Sumudica claims it will be a difficult test for his struggling Al Shaab side as they have not played a competitive game for almost three weeks. However, despite both team's struggles at the bottom end of the table, the Romanian does not consider the result of Friday evening's game to be a relegation decider. "The League season still has a long time to run. When I accepted the manager's job at Al Shaab I was already aware that we would face the threat of relegation but I accepted the challenge to try and save the Club and I will do my best to achieve this dream and keep us up."
Sumudica confirmed that he has a full squad to select from with no injuries reported, and Michel Laurent N'dri has made a full recovery and will be ready to return against Dibba Al Fujairah at the Fujairah Stadium, kicking off at 5:20pm.
