Diaky joins Al Ain on two-year deal from Al Jazira

Ibrahim Diaky was officially unveiled as an Al Ain player at a press conference at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi this evening, with the experienced player signing a two-year contract with the League Champions. Having spent nine years and achieved many successes at Al Jazira, Diaky expressed his delight at joining Al Ain and looked forward to the new challenge that lies ahead at a club he described as not only one of the biggest in the UAE, but on the Asian continent. “Personally, I am looking forward to living up to the expectations set and repaying the faith that Al Ain’s management have shown in me,” the 31-year-old said. “As a footballer I’m always striving to achieve more titles and successes, so when a club with the ambition and achievements of Al Ain comes calling it’s very difficult to say no to joining a team of this calibre,” the Emirati midfielder added.
