Al Jazira on top of Reserve League on goal difference

Abu Dhabi - based team Al Jazira are on top of the Etisalat Reserve League after beating their rivals Ajman 4-2 in the third round game held on the losers’ pitch. The winners raised their tally to 7 points ahead of second – placed Al Wahda on goal difference while Dibba Al Fujairah are taking third place following their lone goal win over Al Shaab at Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain. Najm Mohammed scored the all- important goal of the match. 

Al Ain, the defending champions, are sitting in 4th spot with 6 points after losing to the home team Al Dhafra with a solitary goal at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium in the Western Region. The lone goal was netted by Ibrahim Abdullah off a penalty kick only 17 minutes into play to take his side to the 5th point. Al Shabab raised their balance to 5 points that put them in 5th place after maintaining a 5-1 victory over Al Nasr.

Both Al Dhafra and Bani Yas have collected 5 points each to take 6th and 7th positions respectively on goal difference and the same is applied to Dubai, Al Shaab and Al Ahli who are sitting in 8th, 9th and 10th places with 3 points each. Al Nasr are 11th with two points; Al Wasl and Ajman are in 12th and 13 spots on goal difference after winning a single point each whereas Ittihad Kalba are located far behind taking last position without any point.
