Crucial matches in the 4th round of Etisalat Cup competition

The fourth round of the Etisalat Cup will be concluded tomorrow evening with three crucial games where Dubai take on their city rivals Al Wasl on their home ground in Al Aweer area at 6:45pm, Al Wahda host Emirates on Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, kick off at 6:50pm while Bani Yas are to travel to Dubai to face home team Al Ahli on Rashid Stadium at 9pm.

Despite of Dubai's promising start following their 2-1 win over Emirates on the latter's pitch in the first round, but they lost twice afterwards to Al Jazira 0-3 and to Al Ain by the same margin to remain in 4th position in Group "A" with only three points. They are three points behind the visitors Al Wasl and they need to work hard to step forward in their group ranking. The hosts will play this game with full team and their professional players Abu Bakr Camara, Nabil Al Daoudi and Cimon will spearhead their front line.

Al Wasl, led by legend Diego Maradona, are chasing Group "A" leaders Al Jazira to stay close to them with a narrow difference of points. They are currently classified as runner up with a balance of 6 points, three points behind Al Jazira who are on top of the group with 9 points and are set to meet Al Ain this evening in a derby game. The visiting team lost their first round challenge to Al Jazira with a 3-4 result but they recovered in the two following rounds to overcome Emirates 0-3.and Al Wahda by the same result. Al Wasl will play without their keeper Majid Naser due to national duty.

Al Wahda who are second from the bottom of Group "A" with three points will miss a number of their key players who are in national duty with UAE Senior Team including Ismail Matar, goalkeeper Adil Al Hosani, Hamdan Al Kamali, Mahmoud Khamis, Essa Santo, Khalid Jalal, Mohammad Al Shehhy and Basheir Saeed in addition to Salim Saleh who received a red card in the last match.  The home team started their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Al Ain, but they lost their second and third round matches to Al ALJazira and Al Wasl with a 1-2 and 0-3 respectively.

On the other hand Emirates team have collected one point so far after holding Al Ain in the last game to a 1-1 draw. They played their first two matches with the reserve team due to their ongoing warm up camp at that time in Tunisia.

Tomorrow's program will be concluded when Al Ahli play at home against Bani Yas. The hosts have 4 points that put them in third place while their opponents have a single point that classified them at the bottom of Group "B" after two defeats to Al Shabab 1-4 and to Al Nasr 0-1. Al Ahli will miss the efforts of both Ahmad Khalil and Ismail Al Hamadi who are in national duty along with Ali Hussain and Khalid Mohammad who were shown the red card in their team's previous match against Al Shabab. Bani Yas will play tomorrow without their two National Team players Mohammad Fawzi and Yousuf Jabir.
