Bani Yas stop Al Jazira and raise their tally

Bani Yas earned very precious three points after beating Al Jazira 2-1 in the encounter that took place in Al Shamikha stadium (Abu Dhabi) at 5:30 pm this evening within Round 14 of the Etisalat Pro League competition.


The blues took the lead at the beginning with an opening score performed by Senghore with a ground shot that passed the left side of Ali Khasif in the 4th minute. Al Jazira managed to level the score earlier through a free kick sent from Delgado in the 17th minute and were determined throughout the first session to add a safety but lost a lot of scoring chances to end the first half with a draw.


The hosts said the last word earlier in the second half again through Senghore who netted the win in the 55th minute. The visitors were fiercely trying to compensate but Losing their goalkeeper for a red card made it much harder for them.


Al Jazira disappointed for not being able to follow up the top table al Ain on the standings remain 3rd after the end of the 14th week with 26 points, while Bani Yas raise their tally to 16 points with a possibility to topple Ajman in case defeated by al Wasl tonight at 8:15 pm
