Al Wasl beat Bani Yas to jump to second position

Dubai-based Al Wasl snatched a 2-1 valuable win over hosts Bani Yas in the Etisalat Cup round 9 game played tonight at the losers’ Stadium in Al Shamkha. The Uruguayan professional player Al Faro scored the winner only one minute before the final whistle. Al Wasl jumped to second place in Group “B” with 12 points while Bani Yas balance was frozen at 10 points to slip to third spot.  

Al Wasl Brazilian player Jussie Ferreira opened the scoring only 8 minutes from the starting whistle when he was sent free with Emana’s perfect pass with only the custodian Mohammed Ali Gholoom to beat. But Bani Yas levelled the scores in the 36th minute through Ahmad Ali off Nawaf Mubarak’s perfect corner kick to end the first half with a 1-1 draw. Al Faro helped his team Al Wasl to collect full points when he netted the winner only one minute to time.
