Bani Yas beat Al Arabi 2-0
The Abu Dhabi based club Bani Yas scored a spectacular 2-0 victory and snatched a rewarding 3 points off their Qatar rivals Al Arabi in the Group B premier encounter which took place in Al Shamikha stadium in Abu Dhabi this evening within the 2012 Asian Champions League competition.
It was the hosts who reigned the pitch from the beginning, while the visitors were too busy defending, the blues created a lot of scoring chances but it was the penalty given after hindering Farid Isamel inside the box and performed by Yousef Jaber that gifted Bani Yas their first goal in the 44th minute right before the end of the first interval.
The second half saw the Abu Dhabi club yet more consistent to add more scores and grant themselves an early top seat on the standings and it was the Spanish forward Yeste who netted Bani Yas second goal after taking a pass from senghor and strongly aimed at the left side of Al Arabi’s goalkeeper in the 77th minute.
