Bani Yas Hammer Ajman with a five straight goals win

Bani Yas jumped to third position with a record of 19 points, three points behind leaders Al Ain following their deserved win over Ajman with five straight goals in the Etisalat Pro League 9th round match played tonight at Al Shamkha Stadium. The losers are sitting in their previous 10th place with 8 points.

The two teams played the opening minutes with great care but the hosts took the lead only 18 minutes into play off a stand ball fired by midfielder Nawaf Mubarak only 18 minutes into play. Bani yas Senegalese striker Andre Sangahoor added the second goal in the 20th minute with a perfect header off a cross ball.

Both teams went on exerting more efforts amid a number of attempts with Bani Yas dominating the game looking for more goals but they lost a bagful of sitters in front of the goal mouth.

On the other hand Ajman failed to put more pressure on their rivals as they played below the par paving the way for the visiting squad to build up many chances which resulted in the third goal in the 32nd minute through Mohammed Fawzi off a through pass from the Australian player Necolas to complicate things for the hosts giving his side a 3-0 first half lead.

The two teams demonstrated poor display after the break and there was no reaction from Ajman who were three goals down by the end of the first session. The referee rewarded Bani Yas a penalty kick when Mousa Hatab fouled Ahmad Ali inside the box for the Egyptian striker Mohammed Zidane to convert the ball into the net in the 54th minute making it 4-0 and Yousuf Jaber completed the rout also with a penalty nine  minutes to time  to give his team a 5-0 win.
