Ajman’s Lucky Start

Ajman scored a remarkable 2-1 victory over their hosts Bani Yas in the match that took place this evening at Al Shamikha Stadium in Abu Dhabi within the second-half season premiere “Round 12” of the Etisalalt Pro League competition.

Ajman seemed more consistent from the beginning and took advantage of their opponents’ defensive blunders and successfully netted their two rewarding goals in the 6th and 9th minutes through the Ivorian Tia Olivier. The Lebanese Hassan Matouq was about to gift his tream another rewarding 3rd goal in the 32nd minute but Mohamed Khalaf Bani Yas goalkeeper was ready for it. It was Senghor who scored Bani Yas single goal in the 15th minute and it was clear that today was not Bani Yas lucky day and the team was not at their anticipated standard of performance.

The second half of the game was less than expected, the blues trying aimlessly to tie, while the orange counting on the counter attacks keeping their defense safe not to lose what they earned earlier could not help them to add to their score.

With 15 points Ajman move temporarily to the 7th place yet to be decided where Al Ahli end tonight, while Bani Yas step down to the 9th place keeping their 13 points in the league table.
