Bani Yas sign Uruguayan defender Sergio Rodriguez

 

Bani Yas club has signed a one-year renewable contract with Uruguayan defender Sergio Rodriguez, 26 years old, to play for their Senior Football Team in the upcoming season. The player, who was playing last season in the Argentine league, was nominated by the club's technical committee, in coordination with the Brazilian coach Vieira, who agreed on the player and has chosen him from among a number of CVs.

 The signing of the contract was attended by Abdul Hakim Al Swaidi member of the club's Board of Directors, Chairman of the Technical Committee, Abdul Rahman Al Saeari and Hamad Al Ebri members of the Board of Directors and members of the Technical Committee, Nidal Abu Roza, CEO of the club, Adil Al Amiri, agent of the player, and Mossad Al Harthy, Director of Media and Communication.
Sergio Rodriguez played before for Argentinean clubs Krizario and Kelms, and won the league second division championship with the latter to qualify to the first division league. He also played for his country's youth team in 2005 as well as for the Olympic National Team.

 The player expressed his happiness to join Bani Yas, pointing out that he learnt much about the UAE League and clubs in the last few days ​​, and he knew that his new club Bani Yas has finished the last season taking second place of the Etisalat Pro-League Championship. He hopes to contribute with his colleagues in achieving the aspirations of the club.

 Bani Yas are looking for the fourth professional player after deciding to rely on the Omani midfielder Fawzi Bashir as an Asian player along with striker Andre Sengahoor from  Senegal and the new Uruguayan Sergio Rodriguez.

On the other hand Ajman Club has also signed a contract with Al Wahda's former goalkeeper Ali Rabei to play for their Senior Football Team in the 4th Etisalat Pro-League Edition on loan basis. Rabei will fly tonight to Turkey to join his new team's warm up camp currently organized there.
