Bani Yas and Al Nasr Emerge Winners

Bani Yas has secured their third successive win to take them to the top of the standings of Etisalat Pro-League. They are now on 9 points following a deserved 4-2 victory at home over visitors Kalba in the last day of the fourth round.

Haboush Saleh opened the scoring to give the home squad an early lead only 10 minutes from the start. His teammate Andre Sangahoor from Senegal slotted two successive goals to seal the first session with a 3-0 score-line. The Bahraini player Abdullah Baba reduced the deficit for the visitors when he found the back of the net with a perfect header in the 67th minute, but Sangahoor complicated things for their rivals when he raised the tally to 4-1 in the 73rd minute, scoring the first hat-trick in Etisalat Pro-League this season. Ahmed Isa netted the second goal for the losers only one minute into injury time after which the referee blew the final whistle. Kalba remain in 11th position with a lone point.

Later that evening Dubai-based teams Al Nasr and Al Shabab played a balanced game to conclude the 4th round with a 3-2 win for Al Nasr. The winners scored all three goals in the first half through Carlos Tennerio who found the net only 4 minutes into the match and his colleague Ismail Bangoura who added two more goals in the 39 and 46 minutes. Lamine Diarra from Senegal pulled one back for Al Shabab five minutes into the second session and Brazilian Vilnuwiva scored the second six minutes later. Al Nasr are in the 6th place, whilst Al Shabab are in 5th position on goal difference.
