Professional League Committee participates in "Azkals" tour in UAE

 

The UAE Professional League Committee (PLC) participated in "Azkals" tour (Philippine National Team) in the UAE, which came as part of their preparations to form a formidable football team that can compete against big teams at the regional level. "Azkals" lost their opening match to Uzbekistan Olympic under-23 team with three straight goals. The encounter was held at Al Maktoum Stadium in Al Nasr Club on Saturday, February 11 in the presence of more than 1,200 spectators of different nationalities and communities. "Azkals" team were also defeated by Australian Olympic Team on Thursday, February 16 with a solitary goal in the game played at the same venue. 

The participation of the Professional League Committee (PLC) came through providing a stand for distributing the official flyer of the committee, the products of the committee which include caps and T-shirts with the logo of the Etisalat Pro League, in addition to the Etisalat Pro League  and Etisalat Cup match schedules for the 2011-2012 season and answering all inquiries regarding the four competitions organized by the committee.

It is worth mentioning that 923 were registered in the first game, and 1854 in the second game as Friends of the Professional League Committee.

Dr. Khalid Mohammad Abdullah, the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Pro League Committee (PLC) assured the importance of the committee presence in the various social events, clarifying the importance of acquainting the UAE population with the role of the Professional League Committee in organizing the Etisalat Pro league, Etisalat Cup in addition to the reserve league matches.

Dr. Abdullah pointed out that the participation of the committee was based on the importance of encouraging fans attendance for league matches, especially that the UAE League has started to move closer to the determination point as all the matches in the remaining rounds are of great importance for the leading teams, or to those who are suffering from the specter of relegation.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Committee said: "We will expand the scope of our social participations not only at the level of football, but also in various sporting and social events from the point of our belief in the role that we should play in encouraging the fans attendance to the various pitches of the 12 UAE professional Clubs".
