Gyan away for a while

Al Ain sunderland on loan Ghanian professional top striker Asamoah Gyan who also plays for the Ghana national team has undergone a medical test at Al Ain club after the misfortunate sudden muscle spasm that caused an early withdrawal in the 25th minute of the match that gathered Al Ain against their counterparts Emirates on Friday 30 December at Tahnoun bin Mohammad Stadium. The first team doctor granted Gyan a three-week break for treatment and rehabilitation which will keep the UAE Pro League top striker out of his team list in the upcoming end of first half season matches before Al Shabab and Ajman.

On the other hand the Ghana national team player is expected to leave in few days to join his national team in preparations for the African Cup of Nation tournament co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea from January 21 to February 12, 2012 and expected to join his UAE team in mid-February by the third round of the second half season match against Dubai in case Ghana made it to the final.
