Arabian Gulf Super Cup build-up continues as tickets go on sale

Only a few days separate us from the start of the 2013/14 football season as reigning League champions Al Ain prepare to face President’s Cup winners Al Ahli in the Arabian Gulf Super Cup, kicking off at 7:25pm on Friday 30th August. The match, which will be held at Al Jazira’s Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, will set the tone for a competitive and exciting season to come.

In the lead-up to the game, Al Ain head coach Jorge Fossati and Al Ahli head coach Cosmin Olaroiu will hold their official pre-match press conferences on Thursday, each accompanied by a First Team player. The pre-match press conferences, which will last for fifteen minutes each, will begin at 11am with Fossati, followed shortly after by Cosmin. Both teams will stage their official training sessions on Thursday evening at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, with Al Ain’s session from 7:15-8:15pm, followed by Al Ahli from 8:30-9:30pm.

Tickets for the Arabian Gulf Super Cup will go on general sale from Tuesday until Thursday, available from both participating clubs – Al Ain and Al Ahli – as well as the host club, Al Jazira. A limited number of tickets will also be available on the gate on match day itself, with fans encouraged to get to the stadium early on Friday to avoid disappointment. Al Ain fans have been allocated gates 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, whilst gates 21, 25, 27, 28 and 29 are reserved for fans of Al Ahli.
