Arabian Gulf League on Abu Dhabi Sports Channels
The Pro League Committee has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Abu Dhabi Sports Channels regarding the broadcasting rights for its competitions; The Arabian Gulf League, Reserve League, Super Cup and League Cup, with final terms to be agreed subject to contract.
This decision was reached based upon the recommendation of the Rights Licensing Committee in their last meeting, whereby the technical and financial proposals of Abu Dhabi Sports Channels were analysed by the Committee before referring the proposal to the Technical Consultant. Based on their report, the Rights Licensing Committee raised its recommendation to the Executive Office to take the final decision.
Speaking about the broadcasting rights agreement in principle, the Pro League Committee’s Chairman H.E. Mohammed Thani Murshed Al Romaithi said: “We hope that the new broadcasting deal with Abu Dhabi Sports Channels will enable fans to receive a true picture of our League and its competitions, with the channels being committed to providing high-quality production values for the coverage of all matches and dedicated to enhancing the entertainment experience for all viewers.” The Chairman also added: “We believe in the quality of our partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Channels and we look forward to working together to provide the best level of broadcasting for all our competitions.”
