Al Ain announce new strategic partnership with Etihad Airways

Al Ain FC has announced a new strategic partnership with Etihad Airways, making the Abu Dhabi-based carrier the official airline of the Club. The deal was officially signed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Al Ain FC, and H.E. Hareb Al Muhairy, Vice President of Etihad Airways UAE, in a press conference held at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium on Tuesday evening. Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan posed for photos with Al Ain’s star striker and the Pro League’s top scorer Asamoah Gyan along with cabin crew from Etihad to celebrate the deal, which will offer “new marketing and brand sponsorship opportunities” for the Club. Etihad Airways, who also sponsor Manchester City in the English Premier League, will provide all of Al Ain’s official flights to and from their AFC Champions League matches. Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan expressed his delight at the deal, saying; “Al Ain Football Club is the most decorated team in UAE football and we have pioneered many great partnership deals with the biggest commercial companies. We are very excited about our partnership with Etihad Airways – the Club’s ideal official airline – and we are proud to join other prestigious sporting names linked with Etihad such as Manchester City FC, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the Etihad stadia in Manchester and Melbourne.” Sheikh Abdullah also confirmed that the deal will be advantageous to all parties connected to Al Ain, adding; “Al Ain considers its fans as key to its success, so the new deal also contains benefits for them.”
