Al Wasl v Dibba Al Fujairah Pre-Match Press Conferences

Al Wasl head coach Eid Baroot is wary of the threat of Dibba Al Fujairah as the 13th-placed side visit the Zabeel Stadium on Sunday evening, and the Emirati boss has warned his players against falling foul of Dibba’s knack for pulling off surprise results against big teams. “We must not play defensively; we must be confident going forward and our goal is clear: to win the game and ensure that the Al Wasl fans leave the stadium happy. It is imperative that we put in a performance worthy of the great name and history of this club, as Dibba Al Fujairah have embarrassed many top sides this season,” Baroot said at his pre-match press conference. The Al Wasl coach is able to welcome Mohamed Jamal back to the squad for Sunday’s game after the midfielder missed out on last round’s match against Al Wahda.

Dr. Abdullah Misfer, head coach of Dibba Al Fujairah, has noted that Al Wasl have seen many changes since the interim appointment of Eid Baroot, and said in his pre-match press conference that they have become a stronger side of late. Dr. Misfer anticipates a tough game at the Zabeel Stadium in Dubai and wishes for his players to perform to their best, and also have luck on their side if they are to collect three points. “We played well against Dubai in the last round and also against Al Wahda the round before that, but we were unable to get the wins we wanted and needed. We hope to return to winning ways against Al Wasl, whilst respecting our opponents.” The Emirati manager signaled that it will be a tricky encounter in front of Al Wasl’s loyal fans and is well aware that his players must be at the top of their technical and physical levels if they are to secure a positive result. He also highlighted his full confidence in his players’ abilities to escape from the relegation zone and avoid the drop this season.
