Al Wasl Sign ex-Al Dhafra player Hamad Al Hosani

Al Wasl Football Company has signed former Al Dhafra attacker Hamad Al Hosani. The 23 year old will join Al Wasl on a three year contract starting from the 2011/2012 season.

Al Wasl is working hard to build a strong and competitive team for next season, with their sites firmly set on clinching the Etisalat Pro-League title and securing a place in the Asian Champions League competition under new head coach Diego Maradona.

Commenting on the new signing, Al Wasl Football Company Chairman, Marwan bin Bayat said, "Building a team is like a construction project; the stronger the foundation the higher you can go. We know next season will be tough and so we're making sure we are absolutely ready for the challenge."

Bin Bayat added, "Al Hosani is young and enthusiastic and this is what we are looking for, we want players who are hungry to win and who will work hard with Maradona to achieve exceptional levels of performance next season."

Hamad Al Hosani, who is the third Emirati player to be signed by Al Wasl after Ali Rabih and Mubarak Hassan along with Chilean International Edson Puch, shared his happiness in joining Al Wasl saying he felt honored to have been chosen by one of the biggest clubs in UAE football.

"I'm looking forward to starting the season in my new yellow jersey. Al Was is a big club with a great history and I will do my best to live up to the fans' and management's expectations," said Al Hosani

Looking to further strengthen their forward line, Al Wasl, is still scouting a number of local and international names. Announcements of future deals shall be made upon their finalisation.
