Three matches held today at the end of the Etisalat Pro-League first round


The Etisalat Pro- League first round will be concluded this evening with three matches as Al Ain and Ajman will host Al Nasr and Bani Yas at Tahnoun Bin Mohammad in Al Qattara and Rashid Bin Saeed Stadiums respectively and both games will kick off at 6:40pm. Sharjah are to travel to Dubai to face Al Wasl at Zabeel Stadium at 9pm in the third match of the day.
Al Ain had faced many problems in the last season and were very close to relegate to the First Division, but they recovered in the last matches of the season to avoid relegation. So, they dismissed their technical body afterwards as well as the expatriate players and signed the Romanian Cosmin, former coach of Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia along with his countryman Radio and Saudi striker who were both playing for the Saudi side, Skoko from Argentina and Asamoah Gyan from Ghana former star of the English Club Thunder land.  Al Ain have also contracted some local players namely Mohammad Malallah, Mohammad Nasir, goalkeeper Mahmoud Al Mas, Mohammad Salim and have back their former midfielder Hilal Saeed who joined Al Jazira Club before three seasons.
On the other hand the visiting squad Al Nasr are suffering some injuries as two of their foreign players Tennerio from Ecuador and Australian Brciano in addition to Hassan Amin, Mahmoud Hassan, Habeeb Al Fardan, Talal Hamad, Khalid Srwash and Fahd Sabeel.
In the second match of the day, Ajman will take on Bani Yas at their home ground. The hosts demonstrated brilliant performance in the Etisalat Cup matches maintaing three wins over Al Ahli, Sharjah and Al Nasr and a draw with Bani Yas collecting ten points that put them on top of Group “B”. Ajman are led by newly signed stars Lebanese striker Hassan Matooq, Ibrahima Toure from Senegal,  Teya Olive from Ivory Coast and Kareem Karkar from France.
Bani Yas are looking for a good start after poor results in the Etisalat Cup Competition. They signed Kalba’s former coach Jorvan Vieira and Trezeguet former striker of the Italian club Juventus besides Toni who was playing before for Al Wahda and Al Jazira. They also have Senegalese Andre Sengahoor, Fawzi Basheir from Sultanate of Oman and a number of local players of high technical standard including Amer Abdul Rahman, Mohammad Fawzi, Ahmad Ali, and Yousuf Jabir who play for the UAE Olympic and Senior Football Teams.
Al Wasl led by their Argentinean legend Maradona will host Sharjah in the concluding match of the first round. The hosts are trying to recover after being trounced with a 5-0 defeat by Dubai team in the Etisalat Cup Competition. But Maradona apologized to the club’s fans and promised to put the team on the right track. Al Wasl signed the Argentinean Maryano Donda, Manuel Oliveira from Uruguay, Edison Botch from Chili and Richard Borta from Australia. Sharjah also lost to Al Shabab in the Etisalat Cup and are still suffering of goalkeeping problem and this was obvious in the Etisalat Cup matches. Sharjah are led by Romanian coach Tita  Valero  and Brazilian players Edinho, Vandenho and their countryman Marcelo along with the Iranian player Eman Mubaali and other local stars.
