Al Jazira overcome Al Shaab with a 3-2 win

 

Al Jazira came from behind when they were two goals down to overcome the home team Al Shaab in the Etisalat Pro League 11 week game played this evening  at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium  to raise their balance to 21 points taking fourth place while Al Shaab are in 12th spot with only 7 points. The losers’ Brazilian striker Rodrigo Souza scored a brace in the 23rd and 28th minutes giving his side a 2-0 lead. But Ali Mabkhoot reduced the deficit five minutes later capitalizing on Al Shaab’s goalkeeper Hussain Ali’s blunder who failed to control the ball to end the first half with a 2-1 in favour of the home squad.

Al Jazira brought the game into parity when their Brazilian front liner Ricardo Oliveira scored the second goal with a left footer in the 63rd minute to raise his personal record to 7 goals in 11 league encounters and defender Abdullah Mousa netted the winner in the 76th minute to give his side 3-2 hard fought win.

The match referee gave marching orders to Ahmad Essa from Al Shaab in the 56th minute and Hyungmin Shin from Al Jazira in the 78th minute.
