Al Shaab bolster squad with signings

Al Shaab have wasted no time in bolstering their squad following their final-day escape from relegation, announcing the signing of three new players to take them into the 2013-2014 season. Defender Essa Mohammed has made the switch from Al Shabab, midfielder Essa Ali signs from Al Nasr, and defender Idris Fawzi remains in the professional league by moving from relegated Kalba to the Khaled bin Mohammed Stadium.

In addition to the new signings, six Al Shaab players have extended their contracts at the Club to promote stability within the squad. Ahmad Eissa, Mohammed, Omar Al Shehhi, Nasser Masood and Fahad Al Rushoud have all been handed extensions, following Michael Laurent N’dri who put pen to paper on a new deal earlier in the week. Al Shaab have also awarded ten professional contracts to promising young players from the Club’s academy, with Rashed Al Hajri, Talal Abdullah, Mohammed Ahmed Saif, Ali Mustafa, Marwan Abdul Karim, Ahmed Yousef, Saif Rashed Bishoh, Hamad Tawfiq, Salem Humaid and Hamid Abdullah Saleh all signing professional deals to progress to the First Team squad.
