Julius Wobay joins Al Shaab

Al Shaab have signed Sierra Leone international Julius Wobay on a season-long loan deal from Neftchi Baku PFK of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The attacking midfielder successfully passed his medical to sign with Al Shaab and the 29-year-old, nicknamed ‘Gibo’, brings both physical strength and fluid playmaking skills to the side. Wobay began his career in Sierra Leone but has spent most of his club career in Cyprus, Azerbaijan and Egypt. He has won the Azerbaijan Cup twice and Azerbaijan Premier League once, and played in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League last season.
