ACL- Diane saved the day for Al Nasr

A last minute invaluable rewarding goal saved the day for Al Nasr and healed what was broken, earning their first precious 3 points after the 2-1 victory over their Qatari visitors Lekhwiya in the second round of Group”C” matches of the AFC Champions League competition which took place at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai this evening at 8:00 pm.

A tough AFC match with both sides dominating the ground throughout the game, Al Nasr showed a remarkable team work this evening and proved they are determined to make up for the last few weeks draw backs. Lekhwiya were also tough on the pitch but the individuality was what marked their performance on the playground. Diane was the playmaker of the day giving his side a spectacular opening in the 37th minute. The visitors seemed to be consistent to level the score at the earliest and it was Moumouni Dagano who successfully netted the equalizer only 4 minutes before the end of the first interval.

The second half saw both sides fiercely striving to score a safety, both defenses seemed to be indestructible at some point, and unless the surprising 93rd minute goal netted through Amara Diane everyone was expecting a tie whistle.
