Both Dubai – based teams Al Nasr and Al Wasl shared the points of their Etisalat Pro League 2012- 2013 second round match played tonight at Rashid bin Maktoum Stadium in Al Shabab Club for both teams to raise their balance to four points along with Dubai and Al Dhafra who have collected the same balance of points.
The two squads played a strong game to the ambitions of the fans who followed it. Al Wasl took the lead only nine minutes into play through the Italian player Al Faro off a long pass from his team’s keeper Ahmad Mahmoud. Al Nasr replied in the 27th minute when their unmarked Iraqi midfielder Nashat Akram levelled the score with a close – range header to end the first session with a 1-1 draw.
Al Faro came to add his second goal to give Al Wasl the lead for the second time only four minutes after the break off a cross ball switched by his colleague Shikabala. But Al Nasr scored the equalizer in the 60th minute off a stand ball launched by Brazilian player Lima that bounced off goalkeeper Ahmad Mahmoud’s hand for Habeeb Al Fardan to slam it home.
The two teams’ coaches Walter Zenga of Al Nasr and Bruno Metsu of Al Wasl made some substitutions in the last minutes, but the result remained the same without any change.
