Al Nasr fall into their own trap

Al Nasr leading a 2-0 victory throughout the match against their counterparts Al Jazira didn’t pay much attention and never expected they will be falling into the same trap they set last week to Al Wasl, the last 10 minutes 2-2 draw snatched by Al Jazira was shocking to the blues, their very close dream to end 2011 on the second position turned into a wishful thinking only in few minutes before the end, not paid the favor they waited for from Ajman who lost before Al Shabab also in the last minutes of the match. That was the surprisingly shocking events of the match that gathered Al Nasr and their rivals Al Jazira that took place at Al Maktoum Stadium within Round 9 of Etisalat Pro League competition.

Al Nasr scored their first goal through a penalty netted by Lima in the 42nd minute to end the first half with a 1-0 victory to Al Nasr, another goal in the 53rd minute netted through Bresciano made it harder to the 2011 league champions and gave the blues the misleading sense of comfort. It was until the 82nd minute when Lucas Neill netted Al Jazira first goal and the defending champions gained their confidence and the consistency they we were fighting for back, and they learned the lesson that magic can be reversed. Indeed in the 92nd minute Al Jazira netted their tie through Khamis Ismael and the draw that tasted like victory to Al Nasr last week was definitely not the same this time.

With 15 points Al Nasr keep the 4th place while Al Jazira with 17 points move a step back to the 3rd position on the Etisalat Pro League table.
