Al Nasr and Al Ain share points with a goalless draw; Kalba and Al Jazira are tied 2-2
Al Nasr and Al Ain shared their points of their Etisalat Cup fourth round match played this evening at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium in Al Shabab Club. The game ended in a goalless draw for Al Ain to stay in the second position in Group "A"with five points and Al Nasr added one more point for their balance to take fourth spot with only two points.
Al Ain looked the better and dangerous side from the very start after dominating the match giving their rivals hard time. They exerted more efforts and created a number of scoring chances but could not make use of their superiority. Their hosts Al Nasr could not build up dangerous forays as most of their work was concentrated on the midfield Zone.
The two teams played without a number of their key players due to different reasons and though the game was really a good chance for many of the reserve teams’ players to take part and show their skills. Both squads failed to find the target through the entire first session despite of the chances that came their way.
Al Ain continued their pressure after the breather and their striker Mohammed Nasser missed beautiful sitters. He faced Al Nasr goalkeeper Abdullah Mousa in the 58th minute who spoiled his attempt in the last moment. Nasser came to lose another chance three minutes later.
The hosts and the visiting team went on their attempts but all their work was in vain as they failed to score losing all the sitters to come up with a goalless draw.
