Al Nasr beat Al Ahli 4-0 to take 6th position

Al Nasr maintained a 4-0 win over Al Ahli in the Etisalat Pro League fifth round match played tonight at Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium. The winners demonstrated a brilliant display and their strikers scored from all the chances that came their way and missed the same number of sitters. Al Ahli are still suffering from their back line errors which costed them much in all the matches they played this season.

Al Nasr raised their tally to 7 points taking 6th spot while Al Ahli are second from bottom with three points. Al Nasr midfielders Bresciano from Australia and Brazilian Linardo Lima played a pioneer role and supported the defense line in a way that reduced the danger of Al Ahli strikers who were led by Graffiti, Al Hamadi and Jiminez but they were faced with an organized defense.

Brazilian Carica opened the score for Al Nasr in the 28th minute with a strong header off a stand ball sent by Bresciano and Humaid Abdullah added the second two minutes later when he was set free with a long ball with only the goalkeeper Yousuf Al Zaabi to beat who advanced forward to clear the ball but he failed.

Al Ahli pressed hard in the second half  to reduce the deficit after the break while Al Nasr retreated back to retain their two-goal lead depending on quick counter attacks which were led by Amara Diane who was a headache for both Al Ahli defenders Khalid Mohammad Ahmed and Mohammad Jasim who played poorly. The substitute Younis Ahmed added the third goal off the first touch.

Mark Bresciano concluded the rout when he scored the 4th goal in the 62nd minute off a pass from Diane after facing Al Ahli goalkeeper and sent the ball into the right hand side
