Al Nasr were awarded a penalty only ten minutes from the word go when Sultan Al Ghafri fouled Bangoura inside the box and Tennerio made no mistake slamming the ball home giving his team an early 1-0 lead in the 10th minute. Rashid Abdullah was almost to score the equalizer when he received a perfect pass from Fawzi Basheir but Al Nasr's goalie Abdullah Musa made a superb save and deflected the ball to a corner 8 minutes before the interval. Bangoura came close to make it 2-0 when he hooked the ball over the advancing goalkeeper Mohammad Al Hammadi but it rebounded off the upright in the 41st minute towards Tennerio who failed to drive it into the empty net.  Al Hammadi also made another save in the injury time when Bresciano launched a strong volley off a stand ball to finish the first session with 1-0 lead for Al Nasr.

Bani Yas made some good efforts in the second half trying to level the score but couldn't find the back of the net. Sangahoor lost a valuable chance when he sent a weak volley that easily controlled by Abdullah Musa in the 70th minute. The two teams created some chance in the last minutes but they failed to add more goals.

On the other hand Al Shabab lost their leadership to Group "B" after losing to Al Ahli 1-3 in the game played at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the concluding day of the third round of the Etisalat Cup. The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute through Carlos Villanueva to finish the first session with a 1-0 win. But Al Ahli were the better side in the second half after exerting more efforts that helped them to net three successive goals through Jaja, Graffiti and Faisal Khalil in the 60th, 66th and 82nd minutes successively. Al Shabab's loss gave Ajman a golden chance to top the group following their 3-2 victory over Sharjah.
