Al Nasr play 6 friendlies in their Austrian 17-day warm up camp
Al Nasr Senior Football Team flew to Austria on Thursday July 14th via Dubai International Airport to conduct a 17-day warm up camp ahead of the start of the upcoming season. The mission headed by Mohammad Bin Kadfor team's manager, includes 14 staff members and 29 players. Their Italian coach Walter Zinga will join the team in Vienna, along with their two professional players Brazilian Alien Leo Lima and Carlos Tennerio from Ecuador. Guinean pro Ismael Bangoura, who returned to Dubai three days ago, participated in the internal camp before flying with the team's mission. Dubai-based Al Nasr will miss their midfielder Habeeb Al Fardan during the training camp in Austria as he will join the Olympic team in a couple of days.
Mohammad Bin Kadfor the team's director said that Al Nasr will play six friendly games during the camp with teams of progressive levels and face in their last match one of three teams: Beshiktash from Turkey, German Club Schalke or Panduri from Romania. He said that they have terminated the contracts of three players: Marwan Sroash, Kayed Abdullah and Mohammad Ali Omar.
The team's director also said that the players will get two days rest after returning from Austria before they come to resume their daily training preparations program at the club's stadium. He disclosed that they have an idea to organize a short warm up camp in one of the Gulf countries before the launch of Etisalat Cup Competition in which Al Nasr will face Sharjah, Al Shabab, Al Ahli, Ajman and Bani Yas and will take Sharjah in their first match at the latter's Stadium.
Al Nasr made their best position in the recent seasons when they finished third in the Etisalat Pro League in the last season, a position which helped them to qualify to play for the first time in the AFC Champions League 2012.
