Al Jazira turn their defeat into a spectacular 4-2 victory over Nasaf

The Abu Dhabi defensive champions Al Jazira successfully turned a 2-0 defeat into a remarkable 4-2 victory over their Uzbek rivals Nasaf in Their Group A opening match which took place in Karshi Stadium in Uzbekistan this afternoon within the group stage of the AFC Champions League competition.

The First Half
It was the Uzbeks who had the lead and netted the match first goal right from the beginning taking advantage of the visitors’ momentum distraction in the defense in the second minute through Mosaeev. Sami Rabee, Al Jazira defender granted the hosts their second goal when he netted in his own goal in the 18th minute. Jumaa Abdullah managed to decrease the difference when he netted for his side in the 39th minute to end the first half with Nasaf advanced with a 2-1 victory.


The Second Half
Abdullah Mousa leveled the score when he scored the equalizer in the 67th minute, and finally the Abu Dhabi team toppled their opponents and netted their third goal through Bare in the 75th minute, ant it was Oliveira who had the final word when he scored for his side in the 88th minute to reserve Al Jazira an early seat at the top table of the group A standings right ahead of Istiklal “Iran” with the goal difference.
