Al Jazira sack Bonamigo and announce new Head Coach Luis Milla

Al Jazira's Board of Directors released an official statement following the Club's 4-1 victory over Al Dhafra on Thursday night to announce the sacking of Brazilian coach Paulo Bonamigo. The Club thanked him for his services but stated that the decision was taken due to unsatisfactory results, which did not match the ambitions of the Club's management. Bonamigo will be replaced at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium by 46-year-old Spaniard Luis Milla, whose last role was as Head Coach of Spain's Olympic football team at the London 2012 Olympic games.

Milla inherits an Al Jazira side currently sitting second in the Etisalat Pro League, having capitalised on Al Ain's shock loss at the hands of Dibba Al Fujairah tonight to cut the gap at the top to six points. His first game in charge will be next Tuesday as the Abu Dhabi club travels to Iran to face Tractorsazi Tabriz in the AFC Champions League group stages.
