Bonamigo: Our next League games are all cup finals

Paulo Bonamigo, the Brazilian head coach of Al Jazira, has told his squad to turn the page on their disappointing President's Cup exit and focus firmly on the League. "I spoke to the players after getting knocked out of the President's Cup and emphasised that what matters to us now is our upcoming League games. We occupy second place in the League table and must treat all our remaining games in the League as cup finals."

Speaking in a pre-match press conference at Al Jazira ahead of their away trip to Ajman's Rashid bin Saeed Stadium on Thursday at 8pm, Bonamigo stated that he is aware of the attacking threat and strong midfield of Ajman, and he will prepare his team to nullify these threats in order to secure three points and keep up their chase in the title race.

Al Jazira will be missing Matias Delgado for the Etisalat Pro League clash with Ajman, as the midfielder has picked up three yellow cards and will serve a suspension. "Delgado is one of our most important players and has the ability to complete any game. We will miss his services in the next game and so we have had to shuffle the squad around to compensate for his absence, with Hyungmin Shin being reinstated," said Bonamigo.
