Al Jazira Club look for a new coach to replace Argentinean Sabella
Al Jazira Club have started to look for a new coach to lead their Senior Football Team in the competitions of the upcoming season. This sudden step was taken after it was announced that their technical Argentinean coach Al Ekhandro Sabella is on his way to coach Argentine National Football Team, replacing his countryman Sergio Batista who resigned yesterday, after failing to secure a berth for the home squad in the semifinal stage in "Copa America" Championship which was concluded recently.
Al Jazira, champions of the Etisalat Pro-League and the President's Cup in the last season for the first time in their history, will start their preparations for the new season today evening under the guidance of a provisional technical body including Dutch Andre director of the club's football academy and his assistants Luis from Brazil coach of the U-19 years team and Ahmad Zahir goalkeepers trainer.
Sabella was scheduled to begin his job with the team on Monday, but he did not arrive to Abu Dhabi. It was reported that the coach who was signed last June to replace Brazilian coach Aple Braga, will come to UAE in the coming hours, to terminate his contract although he did not inform the club officially until yesterday. But the club's administration has taken serious steps looking for a new coach and the nominated new names will be announced after the club receives an official apology from Sabella.
Ayed Mabkhout Al Jazira team's manager said: "Argentinean coach Sabella did not disclose his desire to terminate his contract with the club, but the administration has taken serious steps to search for a new coach and new names will be determined when Sabella submits an official apology ".
The Argentinean newspaper "Ole, wrote saying" Julio Grondona, president of Argentine Football Federation asked Sabella to stay in Buenos Aires and not Depart to Abu Dhabi in order to find a mechanism to terminate the contract with Al Jazira. "
Mabkhout reported that the players have completed the medical tests before they begin their preparations for the next season without the international players along with Subait Khatir, who needs a period of two weeks to join the training sessions due to knee surgery, injured Abdullah Mousa and Yasser Mattar who underwent medical operation, and will be back to field after 5 months.
Moreover the duo Brazilians Barry and Ricardo Oliveira have arrived in Abu Dhabi, while the third Argentinean professional player Delgado will arrive today.
On the other hand Al Jazira will organize an international friendly tournament at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi during Ramadan from 20 to 26 August, in which clubs like Al Ahli from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait of Kuwait and Qatar's Al Rayyan will take part.
