Al Hilal v Al Ain Pre-Match Press Conferences
Al Ain head coach Cosmin Olaroiu has called for an away win at Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, with the focus now fully on progressing to the final 16 of the AFC Champions League having sewn up the domestic championship last Thursday. Speaking at his pre-match press conference in Riyadh, Cosmin said: “We are well aware that we need to provide our best performance and fight right until the end in order to achieve what we desire. We have strong confidence in ourselves and we have the ability to overcome any testing circumstances. We will never give up on achieving our goals.” The Romanian added that the game against Al Hilal at the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium in Riyadh will be completely different from the previous away games Al Ain have played in the AFC Champions League competition.
Zlatko Dalic, head coach of Al Hilal, has appealed to fans to get behind the team in the AFC Champions League match on Tuesday night, stating that they are in desperate need of support as they go head-to-head with a very strong Al Ain side. “We are at the peak of our preparation to face Al Ain and I assure you that we will go in search of a victory, as it is our only option to maintain our chances of qualifying out of the group,” the Croatian coach said. Dalic also noted that Al Ain’s attacking threats of Asamoah Gyan, Omar Abdulrahman, Jires Kembo-Ekoko and Alex Brosque will have to be closely watched in order to keep them quiet.
