Al Arabi of Kuwait holds Al Shabab to a 2-2 draw

The visiting team Al Arabi of Kuwait held Dubai-based Al Shabab to a 2-2 draw in the match played this evening at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium in Dubai in the 26th  GCC Clubs Champions league and President's Cup semifinal matches. The hosts team netted an early goal through Brazilian striker Ciao only 32 minutes into the game to end the first session with a 1-0 lead.

Abdul Majeed Al Jaelani leveled the score ten minutes after the break, but his Moroccan teammate player Mohammad Al Najmi gave the home team the lead again following a goal into his own net two minutes before the final whistle. The Moroccan player came later to compensate for his error by bringing the game to the golden square when he slammed the ball home in the last minute to give his side a valuable point.

The two teams will play their second leg match on October 19th at Sabah Salim Stadium in Kuwait to determine the team qualifying to the final tie to be played in a round-robin base on November 3rd and 26th.
