Al Ain beat Nagoya 3-1 to take third position in Group 6
Al Ain concluded their preliminary stage in the 2011 AFC Champions League with a 3-1 victory over visiting team Nagoya Grampus of Japan in their round 6 last match played tonight at Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Stadium in Qattara to raise their tally to 7 points that put them in 3rd position of Group 6. The losers, who have already qualified earlier to the 16 stage, remain in their previous second spot on ten points .Hamad Al Mary opened the score for Al Ain in the 20th minute and Brazilian Elias Riberio added the second goal six minutes before the break. Jungo Fujimoto pulled one back for the visitors only three minutes into the second session. But Elias came again to make it 3-1 off a penalty when matsuo Genta brought Hadaf Al Amry down inside the box and Alias made no mistake converting the ball into the net two minutes later.
On the other hand Al Jazira lost to Sepahan of Iran 1-4 in their game played this evening at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The losers took the lead via Brazilian player Bare only 14 minutes into play and Jawad Kazemian leveled the score in the 32nd minute to end the first half with a 1-1 draw.
The visiting team added more three goals in the second session through Ibrahima Toure in the 60thand 71st minutes and Gholam Anayati in the 91st minute.
