Al Ain, The strength within
In the absence of their main strikers, Yasser Al Qahtani who did not feel fit enough during the training, the Argentinian Scocco, and Asamoah Gyan who left the pitch early in the 25th minute after a sudden muscle spasm, Al Ain proved that their strength comes from within the team itself and scored another spectacular 4-0 victory over their counterparts Emirates in the match that took place this afternoon at Tahnoun bin Mohammad Stadium within Round 9 of Etisalat Pro League competition.
Deliberately pushed by Emirates player number 11 Mohamed Ali Omar, Gyan netted the match first goal in the 6th minute through a penalty raising his tally to 10 goals, sooner to leave the pitch in the 25th minute after a sudden muscle spasm and was replaced by Mohamed Naser. Emirates were desperately seeking a chance to score and crack Al Ain’s firm web that reined the pitch particularly Radoi and Helal Saeed who controlled the midfield but invain. And by the 44th minute Abdul Aziz Fayez netted Al Ain second goal to end the first half of the match with 2-0 victory to Al Ain.
The performance remained the same throughout the second half of the match, and just by the 50th minute Gyan substitute Mohamed Naser scored the match most outstanding 3rd goal. In the 60th minute Emirates missed a chance to score through a free kick played by Mohsine Moutaouali. And only 7 minutes later Mohamed Al Saedi scored the match final goal and Al Ain’s 4th in the 67th minute.
With 23 points Al Ain end 2011 at the top of the league table and prepare to face the second place keepers Al Shabab next week, while Emirates end at the bottom of the league standings with 3 points.
