Al Ain overcome Ajman 4-0 to enhance their league lead

 

Al Ain overcame their counterpart Ajman with four straight goals to enhance their Etisalat Pro League lead in round 15 tonight’s match held at Tahnoun bin Mohammed Stadium in Qattara. The winners raised their tally to 37 points while the losers are staying provisionally in 10th position with 15 points.

The two teams demonstrated fast performance in the opening minutes especially the hosts who netted the opener through their French striker Ekoko only 12 minutes into play capitalizing off Brosque’s perfect pass. Al Ain came to add the second goal in the 31st minute off an organized attack but Ajman goalkeeper saved bravely. The home squad defender Mohammed Ahmad squandered another sitter three minutes later when his shot was deflected by a defender to a corner. Things remained the same till the end of the first session.

Al Ain went on after the break demonstrating their brilliant performance for Brosque to score the second goal in the 65th minute after receiving a lovely pass from his teammate Omar Abdulrahman. The match referee awarded Al Ain a penalty kick in the 76th minute when Ajman defender Ahmad Al Yassi touched the ball with his hand inside the box and Omar Abdulrahman made no mistake sending the ball into the left hand side to make it 3-0 and the substitute Yousuf Ahmad Mousa completed the rout three minutes to time to give Al Ain a 4-0 victory.
