Seven means victory

The spell was about to reverse, but the winter’s champion insists to say no to it and it was the last 7 minutes of the first-half season finale that gifted Al Ain a rewarding 4-1 victory against their counterparts Ajman in the match that took place this afternoon in Al Ain city at Tahnoun bin Mohammad Stadium within Round 11 of the Etisalat Pro League competition.


The first half of the match saw the confused performance of the purples suffering from their long list of absentee which gave their very well balanced opponents Ajman the chance to stress their counter attacks closing all the spaces in the their defense and managed to net their first goal in the 33rd minute through Ibrahim Toure to end the first half with a 1-0 victory to Ajman.


The first half result was like an alarm signal to the purples to pull them back on the pitch, the fans were waiting and they had faith that their team can do miracles no matter what the circumstances. Mohamed Naser was about to score a tie right from the beginning of the second half but it was till the 56th minute when he succeeded to score the equalizer through a head shot. The penalty shot by scocco after he was hindered inside the 6th yard gave Al Ain the first win and the second goal in the 83rd minute. The confidence after this second goal casted all the fear the purples had away and just in another two minutes Mohamed Naser netted the third goal in the 85th minute. When Al Ain fans was waiting to hear the final whistle satisfied with a 3-1 victory, a head shot from Scocco gifted the winter’s champion a merited 4th goal in the 90th minute and filled the stadium with excitement.


With 27 points, Al Ain feels safe and sound with the 4 points difference at the top of the league table, while Ajman settle with 10 points at the 8th place.
