Al Ain Football Mission leaves for warm-up camps in Italy and Austria

 

Al Ain Football Team  left for the Italian city of Bronico this morning where they will hold a warm-up camp before heading on to Logan in Austria for another camp. The team will be involved in the overseas camps until July 29 as they prepare for next season.

Before leaving the UAE, Al Ain Football Team conducted a series of training sessions for seven days under the supervision of their new Romanian coach Cosmin, who used this time to start evaluating their skills. In addition he has spent time watching the players' performances via video tapes from matches over the past two seasons. Based on this evaluation, the coach selected the 27 players for the overseas camps.


According to the program developed by the coach to be implemented in the camp, Al Ain will play two friendly matches in Italy - the first against a yet to be announced Italian side on July 13th and the second match against Palermo on July 16th. The team will then play three more games in Austria on July 20th, 23rd and 28th.


According to Nasser Al Junaibi, the Team Administrator, goalkeeper Ismail Rabei was unable to accompany the mission due to special circumstances, while keeper Abdullah Sultan will join the camp on 10th of this month. He also confirmed that players Saif Mohammad, Mohammad Fayez and Salim Abdullah will join the mission today after finishing their medical treatment program in Italy.

Al Ain is the first club to begin preparations for the new season and it is the first time in the history of UAE football that a team has started preparations in June - just  three weeks after the end of last season.
